Hi,
/etc/init.d/rc might export VERBOSE=yes into all processes run by
/etc/init.d/rc leading to the error message:

line 199: [: yes: Integer expression expected

by laptop-mode-tools on every boot. I'd suggest simply removing $VERBOSE
from the tests since this is an old config option anyway:
