Package: git-annex
Version: 4.20130314
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I wanted to set up a synced copy of an annex repo I have on my machine
on a server somewhere, and I also wanted the files in the repository
to be visible/usable on that server.

I clicked "add repository" in the webapp.

It only offered "add encrypted rsync remote".

It took a moment of thinking on my part to figure out that I'd probably
want to install git annex on the server to achieve what I want. It would
be nice if the "Add remote" page also told you about the options that
were disabled, and why.

Next, with that issue fixed, I set up the synced remote, and waited for
my files to show up on the other end. Unfortunately, it seems like a
bare repository was set up on the remote, defeating what I wanted, and
no obvious way to fix this.

Andreas
