On the contrary, it solves the rc breakage in the simplest way possible. Fixing up those problematic scripts would certainly be nice, but I'm not going to waste my own time to do the maintainer's job. I'm interested in is fixing rc stuff, not making things perfect. > I think you should reconsider this upload.
