I disagree with that. dbconfig-common is a widely used helper package,
and it does automatic schema changes on upgrades. This is hard to turn
off and even harder to handle.

The packages do, however, ask on installation whether dbconfig-common
should be used. I think that people wanting to use schemata that are
not identical to the ones suggested by upstream should answer "no" to
this question.

I am going to document this.

Please give arguments why I should take the pain of not using
dbconfig-common's upgrade mechanisms.
