I migrated my system over to a newer hard drive. In the process of
doing this, I resolved my weird LVM configuration so that I now have
just a single LVM2 physical partition on my drive. I also migrated
/boot over to an LVM partition. Regenerating my dracut initial ramdisk,
I observe exactly the same problem as before, so there's still something
wrong, and it didn't have anything to do with my disk layout. For now,
I have switched back to initramfs because I am tired of my system
becoming unbootable every time I do an update that causes initial
ramdisk to get regenerated.
