kind of: if -D / --defaults is not specified, the flavor of Debian is guessed,
using /usr/bin/lsb_release.
But you are right, this output is not particulary useful, as it will fail if
the flavor cannot be guessed and ain't neither Debian nor Ubuntu. So this
output is indeed mostly useless.
