rebuildd is the kind of fringe package that has no reverse-dependency and that can always safely be removed if anything turns out wrong. I'd rather that 0.4.2 be accepted despite the large diff. 0.4.2 has had enough testing in unstable (8 months, like the entire freeze!) and it's a rather safe option IMO. I have been actively using that version on two arm build daemons that I run without problems.
