Bug#697594: Me, too

   youtube-dl stopped working for me (at least on Youtube) a few 
weeks ago, using 2012.01.05 from squeeze-backports.  (Anything I 
tried was met with ``ERROR: unable to download video''.)

   I just downloaded 2013.02.25 from github, and all is well.
