Hello,
first, I apologize for bothering you... however, although the bug
originates from Adobe, it still seems to me that something could be done
about it in flashplugin-nonfree:
On my Athlon XP (without SSE2 capability), flashplugin-nonfree downloads
and installs the new 11.x release (as of today, this is 11.2.202.273,
which, of course, crashes).
However, when I visit http://get.adobe.com/de/flashplayer/, the site
correctly identifies my system and recommends a plugin from the 10.x
branch (as of today, 10.3.183.67 from
http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/pdc/10.3.183.67/install_flash_player_10_linux.tar.gz),
which works just fine.
It would be nice to also have this functionality in flashplugin-nonfree,
so that a functional version is downloaded from the very beginning.
Maybe this could also be a wishlist item, but I guess it fits much
better here.
Regards,
Jan
