Package: mutt Version: 1.5.21-6.2 Followup-For: Bug #701641 This is simply a "me too". I receive the TLS error upon starting mutt for the first time while trying to open my default INBOX via IMAPS. Looking at the debug output from mutt, it happens while mutt is listing the STATUS for all of my various folders. The tail end of the debug log is: --- a0051 STATUS "INBOX/spam" (UIDNEXT UIDVALIDITY UNSEEN RECENT) [2013-02-27 19:09:32] tls_socket_read (A TLS fatal alert has been received.) [2013-02-27 19:09:36] imap_cmd_step: Error reading server response. [2013-02-27 19:09:36] Mailbox closed [2013-02-27 19:09:37] mx_check_mailbox: null or invalid context.
Increasing verbosity didn't give anything more useful. I also tried grabbing the source and compiling the .deb locally to make sure it wasn't some recent library change. This didn't help the problem at all. -- Package-specific info: Mutt 1.5.21 (2010-09-15) Copyright (C) 1996-2009 Michael R. Elkins and others.
