Package: mozilla-bonobo Version: 0.4.2.1-1 Followup-For: Bug #284922 I can still reproduce this problem: Once upon a time, I configured Mozilla Bonobo plugin so that the plugin does not handle PDF files (I tend to prefer using Acrobat Reader in separate windows). Now recently (apparently since the latest Mozilla Bonobo upgrade), PDFs appear within browser¹ windows shown using gpdf, which is just what I did not want. And more worrying is that if I use gconf-editor to set "/apps/mozilla-bonobo/mime-types/ ignore" to include "application/pdf" and "application/x-pdf" the setting has no effect! Trying fresh Mozilla profile is pretty much out of question, I'm not wishing to loose anything of my current setup.
¹ I have tried both ye olde Mozilla Suite (my primary browser) and Firefox. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-1-686-smp Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Versions of packages mozilla-bonobo depends on: ii gconf2 2.10.1-6 GNOME configuration database syste ii konqueror 4:3.4.2-3 KDE's advanced file manager, web b ii libbonobo2-0 2.10.1-1 Bonobo CORBA interfaces library ii libbonoboui2-0 2.10.1-1 The Bonobo UI library ii libc6 2.3.5-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgconf2-4 2.10.1-6 GNOME configuration database syste ii libglib2.0-0 2.8.3-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnomeui-0 2.10.1-1 The GNOME 2 libraries (User Interf ii libgnomevfs2-0 2.10.1-5 The GNOME virtual file-system libr ii libgtk2.0-0 2.6.10-1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii liborbit2 1:2.12.4-1 libraries for ORBit2 - a CORBA ORB ii libx11-6 6.8.2.dfsg.1-9 X Window System protocol client li ii mozilla-browser 2:1.7.12-1 The Mozilla Internet application s ii mozilla-firefox 1.0.7-1 lightweight web browser based on M ii xlibs 6.8.2.dfsg.1-9 X Window System client libraries m mozilla-bonobo recommends no packages. -- no debconf information
