I've just released version 1.4.5 upstream, removing CRTSCTS from the 10-byte ELO mode. I'll be preparing Debian packages eventually, but I'd like to provide the appropriate package for you to test if I can - I take it you're using Debian stable (6.0); which architecture are you using?
