Package: gedit-latex-plugin
Version: 3.4.1-1
Severity: important

Hi,

loading the LaTeX plugin in gedit gave me:

ERROR :Environment : /etc/texmf/texmf.cnf not found, using
default search paths ['/usr/share/texmf-texlive', '/home/norbert/texmf'] (l.236)

This setup is for TeX Live 2009 which is not in testing.

It would make sense to
* either use the uptodate paths
        /usr/share/texlive/texmf-dist
        /usr/share/texlive/texmf
* or use kpsewhich to determine the location (the best idea!)
        kpsewhich -var-value TEXMFMAIN
        kpsewhich -var-value TEXMFDIST
        kpsewhich -var-value TEXMFHOME

Thanks

Norbert
