Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
I have a clean install of debian Wheezy on Gnome-classic (about a month or two
old). I'm running reminna in the notif. area, I imported my reminna proviles
(~/remmina/*.remmina) and moved most of them in an "Old/" subdirectory (that
was a while ago).
Today I re-created a VNC connection to my laptop runnign debian Squeeze as I
didn't realize I has it in "Old/". As soon as I ran it ti crashed my session (I
had a black screen with a message that something has happened and I must log-
out now, offering me only a LogOut button. I found out the old profile and
tried it, that one worked.
Then I started to change settings in the new profile and test until both
connection profiles were identical - the new profile was still craching.
Then I looked at the differences between the files and started syncing them one
after another, testing every time. After adding "viewmode=4" to the new profile
I could use it without crash.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
Adding viewmode=4 to the new profile fixed the crashes. That was after adding
(in order) "keyboard_grab=1" and "scale=0" which had no impact.
* What was the outcome of this action?
VNC runs fine from reminna on that profile.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Either Remmina should add the viewmode line, or it shouldn't crash without it.
* Logs: I did not find any relevant information in /var/log (incl.
subdirectories) loking for segfault, segv and remmina (case-insensitive). I did
not think at looking at ~/.xsession-errors until right now, so I'll crash
reminna again and save the file before logging back in.
I also looked at the changelogs for reminna 1.0.0-5 and I did not see anything
that seemed relevant.
