I don't think this bug is really swapping between resolved and
outstanding. It's been reopened once and has been kept open since. 

At this point it's been fixed for linux-* but not for the other
platforms. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to investigate further
yet how to get ACLs working on GNU/kFreeBSD. I suspect there are some
source code level changes necessary to do this, as the Samba build
system doesn't deal with mixed kernel/userland tools well yet. Help
welcome.
