Dear Thomas The ACR122U reader had been supported.
The reader is a generic CCID device and you can find a line from 92-libacsccid1.rules.
# generic CCID device (bInterfaceClass = 0x0b)
ENV{ID_USB_INTERFACES}=="*:0b0000:*", GROUP="pcscd"
And you can also find a entry from the Info.plist.
