Package: logwatch Version: 5.2.2-5 Severity: normal Logwatch won't run from cron. Or at least, I am not getting mails from it. I have tried changing the user who receives the mail from root to my local user, jon, in /etc/logwatch/conf/logwatch.conf, which hasn't helped. (`jon' gets root's mail anyway).
Looking at /etc/cron.daily/00logwatch, the test line returns 0 so I cannot see why the /usr/sbin/logwatch line would not be executed. If I obtain a root shell and run logwatch in it, it works. I can't find any relevant messages in my MTA's log file which would correspond to a failed delivery. Any advice on how to diagnose this further would be greatly appreciated! -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.26-bytemark-uml-20040706-1 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages logwatch depends on: ii mailx 1:8.1.2-0.20040524cvs-4 A simple mail user agent ii perl 5.8.4-8 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
