This doesn't cover all the problems of differing files between architectures. You might want to look into some of the KDE tools to deal with C++ libraries. Modestas Vainius has developed some useful helper tools (in pkg-kde-tools). > Would it be possible to have dpkg-gensymbols generate c++ demangled names > automatically? > This could be specified by an argument, e.g. dpkg-gensymbols -x Maybe. It's easier to tell if we can judge a patch. Up to now I refused to integrate partial solutions but this feature could be useful and might not require cloberring the code with hacks all over the place.
