I removed the newly created .scribus and used the old one (after some comparison with meld, there was no major differences), and scribus does not crash on startup. I really don’t know what happened. I remember having done some system updates since I wanted to use scribus, but I’m not sure. I think the issue can be closed. Best regards, -- Vincent Lhote
