Yeah, I recognize I'm not in the majority, but I'm pretty convinced that
static libraries are dangerous, so I've avoided them in my packages. I
think only stuff that absolutely must be built static for some very special
(usually Essential: yes) reason should be using them.

I'll leave this bug for now. I can imagine situations where this might come
up (some init implementation being written static and wanting libseccomp),
so when that shows up, we can close this bug then. In the meantime, I'll
keep resisting. :)
