Package: ifenslave-2.6 Version: 1.1.0-17 Severity: important This is my first bug report, so please excuse my brevity or verbosity. I've explained in detail my trouble here: http://blog.mightybs.net/2013/01/adventures-in-ethernet.html
When setting up bonding I followed the directions here: http://wiki.debian.org/Bonding After getting the bond0 setup and eth0 removed from definitions I found that the network connection was not working. I found an eth0 entry in the routing table, and eth0 while being marked as a slave was still showing an IP address assignment in ifconfig. The only way I was able to resolve the trouble was to reboot, and then everything seemed to be working fine. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686-bigmem (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages ifenslave-2.6 depends on: ii iproute 20100519-3 networking and traffic control too ii libc6 2.11.3-4 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib Versions of packages ifenslave-2.6 recommends: ii net-tools 1.60-23 The NET-3 networking toolkit ifenslave-2.6 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
