Package: anki
Version: 1.2.11-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Anki 2 has been released and the upstream maintainer will be shutting
off the AnkiWeb 1.2 server on February 4, 2013. That means that users
that have not upgraded to Anki 2 will no longer be able to sync their
decks. This could be a very serious problem for many Anki users. Please
see the notice here:

 http://ankisrs.net/anki2.html

I have tried the Debian package (version 2.0.5) available from the
upstream site and it does indeed work.

Please upgrade Anki to version 2 as soon as possible.

Thank you.

P.S. It may also be a good idea to create a new "anki1" package which
contains the old Anki 1.2. The upgrade instructions mention that people
who keep their decks online should use Anki 1.2 to download their decks
to their desktop computer before installing Anki 2 so that it can
translate them to the new format and upload them back to the new server.
