I have now updated the mplayer2 package in experimental. In my test
chroot, I didn't notice any slowdown, but mplayer is not able to
connect to my pulseaudio daemon outside the chroot. I'm therefore
unable to verify if this has been fixed or not.
Can you please test and report back? Thanks!
