Lintian emits:
I: m2m-aligner source: unused-license-paragraph-in-dep5-copyright
gpl-2+ (paragraph at line 129)
I noticed it yesterday.
The problem is that the package contains missing and depcomp that are
distributed under the GPL-2+ licence with an exception.
I reported this fact by saying that the license of these files is
"GPL-2+ or Expat" and adding the exception text in the licence
description.
I just read again the copyright format description, and probably I just
should report "GPL-2+ with Autoconf exception" instead and avoid to put
a long license description.
Is this the right way to proceed?
I think so.
If yes, in other packages I added exceptions by adding each exception
in a license section on its own and then using the "and" keyword. Do
you think I should change those package to use the "with XXX exception"
form?
Yes.
