Source: unifont Version: 1:5.1.20080914-1.1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
In trying to create a patch for <http://bugs.debian.org/584672>, I couldn't help but notice that your package doesn't actually build the fonts from source, but merely installs the ones included in the "upstream" tarball. Now, I guess there was a fairly good reason for this back when it was done: some of the slower buildds would probably have timed out because of how crazy long it takes to build the TTF version. However, now that dpkg-buildpackage can actually make use of separate "build-arch" and "build-indep" targets [1], that shouldn't be a problem: just do the fonts in build-indep. (I might even send a patch if the TTF ever finishes building ...) [1]: based on this item from <http://packages.debian.org/changelogs/pool/main/d/dpkg/current/changelog#version1.16.2>: * Update dpkg-buildpackage to use the "build-arch" (for -B) and "build-indep" (for -A) targets unless "make -qn" says that they do not exist.
