I've done better. I installed darktable on third machine, also debian/unstable/amd64/kde. Darktable was never installed here. Without touching any configuration I've imported some JPGs from filesystem around, and the problem still occurs identically like on the first two machines. I've noticed that standard output from darktable shows as follows: [defaults] found a 64-bit system with 4060080 kb ram and 2 cores (0 atom based) [defaults] setting very conservative defaults Warning: Directory Thumbnail, entry 0x0201: Data area exceeds data buffer, ignoring it. Last line repeats for every imported JPG image. Soon I will be able to test this on some other configuration, maybe in testing or in different window manager.
