I have been trying since long (years) to mess up with irda irobex, psion,... whatever I could find as handheld to sync. The ircp is definitely not working compared to ircp-tray. With ircp, I can do handheld => PC. it works but PC => handheld (jornada, zaurus, ... psion). it does not work. So, I installed ircp-tray, and wonder, it works without any single troubles. However it is not cli based :( A fix of ircp to match to be as good as ircp-tray is expected/wished. I can help to code if you desire.
