Well, the version in unstable is already newer which is why I chose to upload to t-p-u, please see the debdiff of version 1.1+-1.2. Oliver was hoping that the new upstream would fully address the problem, however it fixed it only partly. The chdir built-in still failed under certain circumstances. It has not been fixed until the current upstream release, so unstable would need the latest upstream version while Wheezy should get the version from t-p-u which just contains my patch.
