The problem is due to the space in the name and can easily be reproduced by manually editing a user name in /etc/passwd to contain a space and then trying to send a message from that account by invoking /bin/mail. It is a clear upstream bug and has already been reported upstream. I hope they will fix it in time. I have tried to use rewriting as a short-time fix, but it looks like exim barfs on the second line of the header spool file containing user name, uid and gid, space separated, and there is no rewriting option for this. I am afraid that we will have to wait for an upstream fix here. Greetings Marc -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marc Haber | "I don't trust Computers.
