Package: celestia Version: 1.6.1+dfsg-2 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
I would like celestia to be able to render a scene "off-screen" and save the scene image to a local file. The intended use of this new functionality would be a first step in making a 'dynamic background' application (daemon?) that would update the user's background image at certain time intervals. I've already looked into this myself, and I believe implementing another frontend for celestia based around OSMesa (Off-Screen Mesa) would be the best route. And as such, I've posted a thread on the celestia forums [1] asking for help/expertise in developing this new frontend [1]: http://shatters.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17012 -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/6 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages celestia depends on: ii celestia-glut 1.6.1+dfsg-2 celestia recommends no packages. celestia suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
