I just realised that in the description of the
text/vnd.debian.copyright media type, we indicate the following.
Magic number(s):
Files usually start with the following string:
Format: http://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/copyright-format/
http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/text/vnd.debian.copyright
I wonder if it would be useful to mandate in the next revision that the
files must start with the Format field.
I'm used to think that order of fields within a paragraph shouldn't
matter. (Although admittedly it's not said explicitly anywhere in the
policy, and at least some popular implementations of control file
parsers do care about the field order.)
