Found the same problem on an installation using Dovecot IMAPd
$ dpkg -l 'dovecot*' | grep ^.i | awk '{print $1,$2,$3}'

ii dovecot-pop3d 1:2.1.7-2The folder tree of the affected user has 178 entries.
