Package: procps Version: 1:3.3.4-2 Severity: wishlist Tags: ipv6 Dear Maintainer,
sysctl is setting /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/foo/use_tempaddr to 0 what meens that the ipv6-address witch was build of the MAC-address will be used for all connections over ipv6. In a time were tracking the users is a growing business that's not good. Please set the default to 2 so that the interfaces use changing ip for outgoing connections. By the way: net.ipv6.conf.all.use_tempaddr = 2 works not as I expected. After bring down and up the interfaces eth0 for example the configuration is at 0 as before. I have to change it for every interface to 2 for taking effect. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.6-9.towo-siduction-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages procps depends on: ii initscripts 2.88dsf-35 ii libc6 2.13-37 ii libncurses5 5.9-10 ii libncursesw5 5.9-10 ii libprocps0 1:3.3.4-2 ii libtinfo5 5.9-10 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian9 Versions of packages procps recommends: ii psmisc 22.20-1 procps suggests no packages. -- Configuration Files: /etc/sysctl.conf changed: net.ipv6.conf.all.use_tempaddr = 2 net.ipv6.conf.eth0.use_tempaddr = 2 net.ipv6.conf.eth1.use_tempaddr = 2 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
