But upstream is not providing any proper API to do this. Your code relies
on the fact that the download URL currently uses a redirection to a
versioned URL but I would not deem this reliable in the long run.

If Dropobx is interested to provide this feature, it should be easy to
provide a new URL where to download the version number of the latest
version. I'm ccing my contacts at Dropbox to inform them of this wishlist.
