Package: src:linux Version: 3.2.35-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, * What led up to the situation? Just using the computer normally. For unrelated reasons, the actual network traffic was being routed through eth0 and not wlan0 (even though wlan0 had a valid IP address).
Ran my machine all last night and it idled all day today on linux-3.7 without issue, so it appears that at least the 3.7 kernel is enough to avoid this problem. Got home, booted back to linux-image-3.2.0-4-amd64 from unstable, and within a few minutes, NetworkManager started asking me for my wireless password again. Looked at /var/log/messages, and saw thousands of messages. Here's a sampling of the messages from where they started: Dec 11 07:28:55 debian kernel: [ 26.663294] eth0: no IPv6 routers present Dec 11 07:40:20 debian kernel: [ 710.908470] ath: Failed to wakeup in 500us Dec 11 07:40:20 debian kernel: [ 711.116205] ath: Failed to wakeup in 500us Dec 11 07:40:21 debian kernel: [ 711.323932] ath: Failed to wakeup in 500us Dec 11 07:40:21 debian kernel: [ 711.334481] ath: Failed to wakeup in 500us Dec 11 07:40:21 debian kernel: [ 711.399197] ath: Failed to stop TX DMA, queues=0x10f!
