It seems texmacs expects a package called 'ghostview' to be installed on the system in order to preview the print. A quick google shows someone asked ghostview not be counted as a dependency for many packages and suggests the use of 'gv' instead: http://lists.debian.org/debian-edu/2006/04/msg00095.html I installed that 'gv' package and the print preview worked. May I suggest you add that as a dependency?
