Package: i3lock Version: 2.4.1-1 Severity: wishlist Hi,
it would be cool if i3lock would emit dbus messages when it's activated and deactivated, to allow program to take certain actions in response (like setting the status to away in the IM program of choice). The corresponding interface, possibly org.freedesktop.ScreenSaver, seems to be documented at KDE only: https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/kde-workspace/repository/revisions/master/entry/ksmserver/screenlocker/dbus/org.freedesktop.ScreenSaver.xml However at least pidgin-awayonlock checks both org.gnome.ScreenSaver and org.freedesktop.ScreenSaver (the signal is ActiveChanged on both), so if the latter is indeed cross-platform it would make to support that. (codesearch yields xdg-utils and chromium-browser apart from kde libraries and programs for the freedesktop interface.) Kind regards and thanks for i3lock :-) Philipp Kern -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (300, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages i3lock depends on: ii libc6 2.13-37 ii libcairo2 1.12.2-2 ii libev4 1:4.11-1 ii libpam0g 1.1.3-7.1 ii libx11-6 2:1.5.0-1 ii libxcb-dpms0 1.8.1-2 ii libxcb-image0 0.3.9-1 ii libxcb-keysyms1 0.3.9-1 ii libxcb-shm0 1.8.1-2 ii libxcb-xinerama0 1.8.1-2 ii libxcb1 1.8.1-2 i3lock recommends no packages. i3lock suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
