Hello, I have exactly the same problem that was described above. Running i386 unstable 2.6.13.2 with some patches (reiser4, bootsplash, suspend2). I noticed the problem with 2.2.3-4, upgrading to 2.2.3-5 didn't help. However, my situation is not so worse as I *am* able to manually enter the date.
