I have the same problem with a server on Debian 6.0.6 and apticron 1.1.42 But, another server with same Debian version and same apticron version doesn't produce the problem ! Here is the difference in the headers of the e-mails: - from the 1st server: Content-Type: application/octet-stream - from the 2nd server: Content-type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Put LC_ALL=C and export it before running apticron didn't solve the problem. I just remember that the 1st server uses exim4 and the 2nd uses sendmail, could the problem come from sendmail ? (i tried to replace sendmail with exim but apt does not agree, problem with immediate-configure, can't solve this new problem ...) Regards, Christophe
