Thanks for the patch.

Would be nice in general if, when you file reports like this, you could 
emphasize what is the real issue in the Debian package.

Delta between Debian and Ubuntu is merely a _sideeffect_ of some other 
issue(s), and it feels not very nice that you essentially are saying 
"please fix whatever it is Debian is lagging behind from Ubuntu", 
because a) it puts the burden on me to then extrapolate what is the real 
issue, and b) you may be wrong about the assumption that Ubuntu side of 
the diff is more sane than the Debian side.

Or put another way: The issue you elaborate on of Debian and Ubuntu 
being different is only of severity "wishlist" :-P.

No need to elaborate more here concretely: I do appreciate the patch, 
just not the style of filing the bugreport.  Hope you understand.
