Thanks. I'm aware of it. There are however two complicating factors: 1) Upstream release with support for this API is still in beta. 2) Debian is currently in freeze, which in principle prevents uploading new upstream releases let alone new branches. As it seems, (1) may be resolved soon. Perhaps when that's done, we can confer with the release team to see how to approch this issue best.
