I no longer have the system from the initial bug report available. I just tested a sid powerpc machine booting with init=/bin/systemd and it seems to shut down and restart fine. I also tried installing systemd-sysv (on the same sid powerpc machine -- i had to tell apt-get "Yes, do as I say!"), and it appears to boot and shut down without the hangs i documented in #626885. So anyway, i can't pinpoint a specific change that fixed this, but i also can no longer reproduce it with 44-5. Thanks for your work on systemd and its integration into debian! Regards, --dkg
