Nobody has been able to reproduce it and provide a test case so there's little chance of looking into it. Given the arch and the signal are different, it could also be something else this time, of course. Is it reproducible for you? If it is, I suppose the first step is to take a tarball of the whole chroot (including the directory with the failed build) in case it takes specific contents of libraries in /usr/lib to trigger. This should be easy with pbuilder 'C' hooks.
