As mentioned at [1], unfortunately that commit had bad side effects, described here: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/29413 If we want to try again, we should also apply 897493504add drm/i915: Ensure that the crtcinfo is populated during mode_fixup Are you able to reproduce [1] using the 2.6.32-31 kernel from snapshot.debian.org? If so, I think the proper fix would be worth a try, and I can send further instructions.
