All I can tell you is, that when being logged into a cinnamon session, I get the polkit auth dialogs from policykit-1-gnome (polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1) and /usr/lib/policykit-1-gnome/polkit-gnome-authentication-agent-1 is running. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
