Thanks. After re-reading the bugreport and at the light of your patch, I think (with my lsb maintainer hat on), that the responsibility to fix this behaviour is on the plymouth side, as it only happens when plymouth is installed and configured. If the plymouth maintainers want something included on the lsb-base side, I'm open to suggestions (and patches :) ), but without that, it's not an lsb-base bug.
