reassign 474086 src:gcc-4.7/4.7.2-4
stop

Hello,

Thanks for the detailed bug report and your interest in improving
Debian. I'm just doing some cleanup, I am not a maintainer of the GCC
package in Debian. (You will have to CC me if you want me to receive
possible replies).

The package name of these bug reports is not present in Debian, and
the bug is orphan now (without assigned package/maintainer), which it
means that, even if not closed, people probably will not pay any
attention to it anymore (it will have to be reassigned to a package
name in active releases).

According to the following URL, the package was removed from official
repositories back in 2009:
http://packages.qa.debian.org/g/gcc-4.2.html

I tried to reproduce the bug myself with current versions of GCC, and
the problem seems to still be there with the file "test.c" that you provided:

$ gcc --version | head -1
gcc (Debian 4.7.2-4) 4.7.2

$ gcc -Wall -Os -S test.c
test.c:6:7: warning: initializer element is not a constant expression
[enabled by default]
test.c:7:15: warning: initializer element is not a constant expression
[enabled by default]
test.c:8:14: warning: initializer element is not a constant expression
[enabled by default]
test.c:11:1: warning: initializer element is not a constant expression
[enabled by default]
test.c:11:1: warning: (near initialization for ‘s.i’) [enabled by default]

I am thus reassigning the bug to a current version of the compiler, so
the bug doesn't remain orphan. I don't know if there's an explanation
for the compiler to behave in this way, or if it's correct or not.
Somebody will hopefully be able to provide this information and modify
the bug report accordingly.

Cheers.
