The current 2.5.2 snapshot uses internal index structure which is not compatible with databases created with 2.5.1. When using such databases it is possible that indexed searches return wrong results. The only work around is to backup/restore the database or recreate indices, which is quote a burden with large databases. Upstream has a fix which restores the correct indexed search with old databases.
