Package: amd64-microcode Version: 1.20120910-2 Severity: normal -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
After reading the message 20121105201253.ga18...@khazad-dum.debian.net on debian-devel, I installed the amd64-microcode package. Both before and after the installation, the output for the microcode was the same (see below). As I don't know for sure if my processor needs an update, I can imagine that this is in fact not a bug, please close if this is the case and sorry for the noise. Can I get more information to help debug this issue (any logging)? paul@wollumbin ~ $ uname -a Linux wollumbin 3.2.0-4-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 3.2.32-1 x86_64 GNU/Linux paul@wollumbin ~ $ cat /proc/cpuinfo processor : 0 vendor_id : AuthenticAMD cpu family : 16 model : 6 model name : AMD Athlon(tm) II Neo K125 Processor stepping : 3 microcode : 0x10000c8 cpu MHz : 800.000 cache size : 1024 KB fpu : yes fpu_exception : yes cpuid level : 5 wp : yes flags : fpu vme de pse tsc msr pae mce cx8 apic sep mtrr pge mca cmov pat pse36 clflush mmx fxsr sse sse2 syscall nx mmxext fxsr_opt pdpe1gb rdtscp lm 3dnowext 3dnow constant_tsc up rep_good nopl nonstop_tsc extd_apicid pni monitor cx16 popcnt lahf_lm svm extapic cr8_legacy abm sse4a 3dnowprefetch osvw ibs skinit wdt nodeid_msr hw_pstate npt lbrv svm_lock nrip_save bogomips : 3391.60 TLB size : 1024 4K pages clflush size : 64 cache_alignment : 64 address sizes : 48 bits physical, 48 bits virtual power management: ts ttp tm stc 100mhzsteps hwpstate - -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAlCZUDEACgkQHNUte6r+CGqDNwCcCxC4cW0/31qTArCyR8XA+oUU JywAn2aQVCaeQSNNAhc4mEhWZRGSg0kB =qj2G -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
