Simply changing how debi detects whether svn is being used only covers part of the svn-bp related code in debi. We also look for .svn/deb-layout to see if a (I guess) non-standard layout is being used. How would that look in a svn 1.7 repo? I didn't see anything covering this in the svn-bp documentation, since that seems to expect it to be in debian/.svn/.
